Local Animal Shelter Assistance

Description

OHS got its start as “Friends of the Tri-City Animal Shelter”, helping to establish a much needed Animal Shelter in Fremont for the benefit of the Fremont, Union City, and Newark communities.  We continue to support the shelter through:

  • Bi-weekly distribution of a list of animals that are at the shelter to 35 locations throughout the community
  • Profiling animals available for adoption from the Tri-City Animal Shelter on the OHS website
  • Assisting in matching available animals with local rescue organizations - contacting various rescue organizations to facilitate adoptions
  • Assisting with special veterinary needs with financial support
  • Partnering with the Tri-City Animal Shelter and its mobile spay/neuter clinic program
  • Regular volunteer support
  • Assistance with other shelter and animal needs as necessary

Accessing Program Services

OHS works directly with the Tri-City Animal Shelter in Fremont, CA to provide support where needed.
