Sometimes we have kitties in foster homes that aren’t quite ready yet to be listed on Adopt-a-Pet. Since OHS does not operate a shelter, our adoptable cats and kittens are waiting for their forever home with one of our foster families. Please submit your information on the Adoption Application and, once approved, we will contact you shortly to set up a meeting with the cat or kitten you are interested in adopting. Thank you!

THANK YOU FOR HELPING ASH!

Ash came to OHS as a friendly 6-week-old abandoned kitten that boldly wandered into an adult cat community feeding area for food. The feeder called OHS for help. Ash was in rough shape and coughing. She was diagnosed with pneumonia that took months to clear.

Twice during her stay in foster, including a trip to the emergency room, there were real concerns whether she would survive. After numerous medications and nebulizer treatments, x-rays confirmed she had a persistent collapsed lung lobe contributing to her symptoms. The veterinarians agreed, though, that once recovered, Ash could function well despite her condition.

Thanks to your donations through Cuddly and our website to help pay for veterinary care, as well as our dedicated OHS fosters and OHS medical volunteers, Ash has recovered. Today, she happily retrieves her little ball like a puppy, and has been adopted into a forever loving home.

UPDATE ON ASH’S SUCCESS! ADOPTED MAY 2021

Ash has been healthy since she went home when adopted almost a year ago. She loves her “sister” who was waiting for her and they play and cuddle. Ash and her sister even get to ride outside in a stroller sometimes!
