The Ohlone Humane Society Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is where trained rehabilitators provide specialized care for injured, orphaned, displaced, and/or distressed urban wildlife in order to release them back into their native habitat. Some of the wildlife cared for are birds, squirrels, foxes, and reptiles.
Please note that we can only accept wildlife found within Fremont, Newark, or Union City and that an appointment must be made in advance. To determine if the wildlife needs care, please reference our guides on baby birds and/or mammals. Our hours of operation to accept injured and orphaned wildlife are Tuesday – Saturday 12:30pm-4:30pm and we are closed Sundays and Mondays. Feel free to call ahead to let us know you are bringing us an animal at 510-797-9449.
